AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION WINX HAS BEEN NAMED THE WORLD'S BEST HORSE ON TURF AND THE WORLD'S BEST MARE

* Who is she?

Winx is a five-year-old bay mare by Street Cry out of Vegas Showgirl.

Trained By Chris Waller, owned by Peter Tighe, Richard Treweeke and Debbie Kepitis and ridden by Hugh Bowman.

Winx has won 17 of her 23 starts, her past 13 in succession, and has earned $9.348 million.

She has not been beaten since running second in ATC Australian Oaks in April 2015.
