Three-year-old Farson will be giving away race experience to his rivals at Sandown but co-trainer Adrian Bott is hoping the gelding can take the step to city grade.

Farson was sent south from Sydney to be prepared out of Gai Waterhouse and Bott's Flemington stable ahead of his winning return in a Kilmore maiden earlier this month.

The gelding led throughout in the 1200m-race on January 7 to win by 1-3/4 lengths at his second race start and will be tested in town for the first time on Wednesday.

He will line up in the MyPunter.com Handicap (1300m) in which he will be the least experienced of three three-year-olds taking on older horses in the benchmark-64 event.

"We just thought he would be a horse well-suited down in Melbourne to try to take him through his grades," Bott said.

"He kicked off nicely and won well at Kilmore and needed the experience.

"No doubt he'll take a bit of confidence from that win as he still did a few things wrong in the race and was still a little bit green in the running."

Farson, who is at $16 for Wednesday's race, finished fourth in his only other start at Wyong in a late-season maiden last July and Bott said they always thought could get to metropolitan grade.

"He gets that opportunity tomorrow, but he is still learning what it's about and there's definitely improvement there," he said.

"We certainly feel he's capable of winning a race in town.

"He's taking on the older horses again tomorrow as he did first-up so the rivals will have more experience than him and that's never an easy task taking on the older horses.

"But we feel there's plenty of upside to the horse and hopefully he can take away plenty of improvement from that first-up run."

Bott said dual Group One-winning filly Global Glamour had come through her game second in Saturday's $2 million Magic Millions 3YO Guineas well.

"It was a fantastic effort," Bott said.

"She was very honest and very brave, as she is. She's quality and has come through it well.

"She will just have a very quick freshen-up and she'll be straight back into the Sydney stable and hopefully we'll see plenty of her over the autumn."
