Bart Cummings' wife Valmae dies

Valmae Cummings, the widow of the late trainer Bart Cummings, has died after a long battle with ill health.

Her racehorse trainer-son Anthony announced her death on Twitter saying: "Mum passed away today. Dad is trying to leg her on Saintly. She is abusing him. Everything is back to normal. RIP"

Bart Cummings died in August 2015 while Saintly, the horse credited with reviving his career in the 1990s, died last month.
