Wednesday 26 October 2016, 6:06pm

Linda Meech has joined Michelle Payne as Group One winning jockeys to take out trainers' licences in Victoria.

Meech, who won the 2015 Coolmore Classic on Plucky Belle, is one of four women to be granted dual licences which were introduced in Victoria this season.

Payne, who rode Prince Of Penzance to win last year's Melbourne Cup, will ride new stable recruit in Saturday's Wakeful Stakes in the lead-up to next week's VRC Oaks.

Jade Darose and Rhonda Mangan are dual licence holders while champion jumps jockey Steve Pateman is also set to begin training in addition to riding.
