Currie free to ride Hey Doc in Guineas

Sunday 2 October 2016, 11:59am

Luke Currie is free to take the ride on Hey Doc in the Caulfield Guineas despite incurring a careless riding suspension at Caulfield.

Hey Doc is on the fifth line of betting for Saturday's Caulfield Guineas following his win in the Stutt Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday night.

Currie pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge at Caulfield on Saturday and received a seven-meeting suspension.

To enable him to take the ride on Hey Doc he needed to get off his rides at Flemington on Sunday.

One of his mounts was scratched while Linda Meech and Dwayne Dunn picked up his remaining two rides.
