Chris Waller already has his third Sydney trainers' premiership wrapped up but there will be no slackening off in the coming months.

She's Clean gave Waller his 100th winner for the season at Warwick Farm on Saturday, more than double the number so far by his nearest rivals Gai Waterhouse and Peter Snowden.

Waterhouse and her late father TJ Smith hold the record jointly with 156 and Waller has five months left to reach that target but admits it won't be easy.

"We are coming into carnival time and that's when Gai produces a lot of winners," Waller said.

"We had a good start to the season but when you do that you need fresh horses coming in because the others get caught up by the handicapper.

"We need to get new ones coming through."

Among the new ones helping the cause is the latest consignment of tried horses bought in England late last year.

"They came into the stable at the beginning of January and are starting to trial now," Waller said.

When he was establishing himself in the Sydney training ranks a few years ago, Waller ventured overseas to find horses to make the Saturday grade.

"I couldn't afford yearlings in Australia so it was a way to get good horses in the stable to win prize money," he said.

Among those horses have been Group One winners My Kingdom Of Fife and Stand To Gain with Foreteller showing he is capable of the next step.

Foreteller won Saturday's Group Two Peter Young Stakes at Caulfield to put himself in the picture for the Australian Cup.

He also marked the next phase of Waller's career as the first winner from his new Melbourne stable.

The official opening was to be March 1 but that date was flexible as Waller and his wife Stephanie awaited the birth of their second child.

Nikita Jayne arrived on Wednesday.

"Once the baby was out, the Melbourne stable was official," Waller said.

"It's been a big week for us.

"Foreteller has taken a big step.

"Having stables in Melbourne is a new venture and will complement the Sydney stable.

"We just have to send the right horses there."

Waller has 10 boxes at Flemington and is hoping to get more once he is established.

She's Clean is raced by the Ingham family whose patriarch Bob selected Waller as his trainer for a new venture after he sold his Woodlands racing and breeding empire to Sheikh Mohammed.
