Several Melbourne spring carnival entrants are among the 17 nominations for the Doncaster Cup including last year's winner Pallasator.

The Sir Mark Prescott-trained seven-year-old, who is entered for the Caulfield Cup, has been in good form, finishing second in the Goodwood Cup and the Lonsdale Cup.

Melbourne Cup entry Clondaw Warrior, second at Doncaster 12 months ago, is set to try again for trainer Willie Mullins having won the Galway Hurdle this season and coming off the back of a fine run for second in the American St Leger.

Mullins has also entered Wicklow Brave while the Ed Dunlop-trained Trip To Paris, runner-up in the 2015 Caulfield Cup is in the mix for Friday's race along with Simple Verse.
