The star of the show at the Widden Stud stallion parades, Sebring featured at the weekend when his classy mare Catch a Fire returned from a spell to win in good style at Moonee Valley and has further stakes goals in her sights.

Winner of the Group II MRC Angus Armanasco Stakes back in February, the Hayes / Dabernig trained mare was primed for her come back and charged to the line to win the 1200 metre sprint by half a length.

“She showed real class between the 600m and 400m mark to get into the race,” said David Hayes.

“She’ll be set for the Let’s Elope (Group II September 10).”
