Christian Reith cops careless riding ban

Saturday 20 August 2016, 5:55pm

Christian Reith will miss the chance to ride Le Romain in the Tramway Stakes after being suspended for careless riding at Randwick.

Reith received a four-meeting ban for his ride on New Divide in the Highway Plate.

The suspension will be served after he finishes another four-meeting careless riding ban handed to him at Rosehill on August 13.

Reith will be suspended from August 21 and be able to ride the day after the Tramway Stakes on September 4.

Reith rode Le Romain to victory in the Randwick Guineas and was in the saddle for his first-up run at Randwick on Saturday where he was runner up to Tycoon Tara in the Show County Quality.
