Glenlogan Park Stallions claim Queensland titles

GLENLOGAN PARK stallions have once again taken out the top honours in Queensland for the past season on the all-important 2YO and 3YO sires tables.

For stallions standing in Queensland, with progeny eligible to race for the big 2YO and 3YO QTIS money, SHOW A HEART proved clearly the best juvenile sire in the state whilst his barn-mate, and up and coming stallion star, ROTHESAY finished a long way in front of his nearest rival for horses in their classic year.

Show A Heart’s effort to finish in 11th place nationally on the 2YO Sires table, with far few runners than any of his closest rivals, was an outstanding performance and underlines the value he holds to the Qld breeding industry.

The Champion Sire finished with almost twice as much prizemoney of his nearest Qld rival (Love Conquers All) and achieved this feat with less starters.

With his juveniles earning over $828,000 in prizemoney in the past 12 months, Show A Heart ended the season in front of noted juvenile star stallions Exceed And Excel and I Am Invincible, and only just behind Fastnet Rock, Redoute’s Choice and Sebring.

ROYAL TITHE was a G3 winner for her sire Show A Heart and his best performing juvenile in the last 12 months.

Up and coming stallion star Rothesay really underlined his promise with his first crop of 3YO’s – finishing well clear of his nearest Qld rivals in this age group.

Ending the season inside the Top 25 3YO Sires in Australia, Rothesay looks set to go from strength to strength in the upcoming years, having covered over 700 mares in his first 5 seasons in the stallion barn.

The efforts of his 3 sons Too Good Refuse, Havasay and Shotacross The Bow to run 1, 2 3 in the Toowoomba Guineas and then finish a desperately unlucky 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the G3 Gunsynd Classic a fortnight later was just one of the highlights for Fastnet Rock’s promising son,

Show A Heart takes the 2YO QTIS crown from his Glenlogan Park barn-mate Jet Spur, who won it the season before, whilst Rothesay also arrests the title from another Glenlogan Park stallion in Real Saga who took the 3YO QTIS honours 12 months previously.
