The Coffs Harbour Cup meeting has been called off because of surface water on the track as rain continues in NSW.

The first day of the carnival on Wednesday was also lost when torrential rain hit the course before the first race.

The Hawkesbury track is in the heavy range for Thursday's meeting and will be monitored throughout the day.
