Matt Dunn banking on Fradd

Trainer Matt Dunn hopes some magic from jockey Robbie Fradd can coax a long overdue open company win from Londehero at Doomben.

Londehero broke a long absence from the winner's circle in a Class Six race at Ipswich on June 18 with Fradd aboard and will have his first run since in Saturday's Open Handicap.

Dunn has always had a big opinion of Londehero who has a reputation for turning in eye-catching runs without winning.

"He really can run very fast sectionals but his style of racing in getting back has worked against him," Dunn said.

"It would be fair to say he could have won more races and been in open company earlier,"Dunn said.

"Robbie seems to get on well with him and Londehero travels for him.

"Two runs back when he finished second to Upstart Pride, Robbie had him running second most of the way. Londehero hasn't done that since his two-year-old days.

"There seems to be plenty of pace in Saturday's race and with some luck in the straight he will be hard to beat."

Dunn will run three-year-old Madotti despite her yet again drawing a wide barrier.

"She never seems to get a decent draw. Last start Josh Oliver had to make a long run on her from the 800 metres after going back to last from a wide draw," Dunn said.

"She was going to win but peaked and finished fifth beaten three-quarters of a length.
