My Poppette out of the Tatts Tiara

Friday 24 June 2016, 2:30pm

Melbourne trainer Robert Smerdon has been dealt a second blow with the scratching of My Poppette from the Group One Tattersall's Tiara at Eagle Farm.

Smerdon was forced to withdraw Odyssey Moon on Friday morning from the Group Three Healy Stakes when suitable transport to Brisbane could not be arranged following the cancellation of a flight earlier this week.

My Poppette was found to be tying up after trackwork and her blood picture reflected that so Smerdon withdrew her from the race.

The scratching of the pair leaves Smerdon and jockey Chris Parnham with just one chance to salvage something from the feature meeting with Indarra in the Listed Daybreak Lover Stakes.
