Two year-old Reward for Effort filly Effortless Reward made a one act affair of the 1000 metre maiden at Vaal in South Africa on Tuesday winning by more than seven lengths.

Trained by Louis Goosen, Effortless Reward (Pictured below as a yearling) was making her debut and had no trouble making her three year-old rivals look second rate.

A modest $30,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the draft of Millford Thoroughbreds for Heritage Bloodstock, Effortless Reward is the fifth winner for Sharna Cabarna, a Dolphin Street (Fr) daughter of stakes-placed Rising Taipan.

Effortless Reward was bred by Elizabeth Park Lodge, who will be cheering her on given Sharna Cabarna is due to foal again this spring to Reward for Effort.

Chatswood Stud’s Blue Diamond winner was super popular last spring covering 209 mares and has had a fee increase for 2016 to $16,500.
