Entries extended for Sandown jumps races

Tuesday 24 May 2016, 6:16am

Trainer Eric Musgrove could have as many as four horses heading to a big jumps double-header at Sandown.

Musgrove has entered About The Journey in the Australian Hurdle and has also nominated him for Saturday's Australian Steeplechase along with Thubiaan, Urban Explorer and Zataglio.

The leading jumps trainer said he would leave a decision on which horses he runs at Sandown until acceptance time on Wednesday.

Nominations for both races have been extended until 10am on Tuesday.

There were 10 horses entered for the hurdle and 14 for the steeplechase.

Last year's Hurdle and Steeplechase winners, Arch Fire and Thubiaan respectively, are entered to defend their titles.
