Yendall expected to be fit for Goodwood

Friday 20 May 2016, 6:27am

Jockey Dean Yendall has escaped a barrier mishap at Ararat with severe bruising and is expected to be fit to ride at Morphettville.

Yendall is booked for several rides at Saturday's Adelaide meeting including Sooboog in the Group One Goodwood and Tonopah in the Group Three R A Lee Stakes.

After being loaded into the barriers on Thursday, the Darren Weir-trained Loyal Hero reared over and dislodged Yendall who was stood down for the rest of the meeting.

The Victorian Jockeys Association said Yendall was discharged from Ararat Hospital late on Thursday with severe bruising but no fractures.

Sooboog is at $15 for The Goodwood.
