In-form apprentice Dylan Dunn will ride Silent Sedition at Sandown as the stakes winning filly continues her path to the Australasian Oaks.

The Andrew Noblet-trained Silent Sedition broke her maiden convincingly at Cranbourne on March 4 before adding a Listed victory in the Bendigo Guineas (1400m) last start.

The three-year-old has her next start in a 1600m race against her own age and sex on Saturday and Dunn has been booked to utilise his 2kg metropolitan claim.

Dunn won two races and dead-heated for first in a third at Mornington on Saturday.

He rode his first stakes winner aboard Leebaz in the Easter Cup which was part of a winning double at Caulfield last Saturday week.

Noblet is hoping to stretch Silent Sedition out to the 2000m of next month's Group One Australasian Oaks in Adelaide as long as she shows she can handle a rise in distance.

Should she perform well again on Saturday and be strong at the end of 1600m then Noblet is looking to take Silent Sedition to Adelaide for the Auraria Stakes (1800m), a traditional lead-in to the Oaks.

"The preparation is panning out well for her and every run will tell a bit more," Noblet said.

"She was obviously strong at the end of her last start (over 1400 metres) and she's back to a three-year-old fillies race on Saturday so it looks a nice race for her.

"She's had one go at a mile last preparation and I thought she was good. So I'm pretty confident she'll be no worries at a mile any way."

The Caulfield trainer also has Ensuing among the 46 nominations for Saturday's race.

A decision has not yet been made whether the last-start Bendigo maiden winner will line up.
