Waller runners dominate QE 1st acceptances

Outstanding mare Winx is one of 10 Chris Waller-trained horses still in contention for the $4 million Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

First acceptances for were taken on Tuesday with 60 horses paid up for the richest race during The Championships.

Waller also paid up Beaten Up, Good Project, Kermadec, Preferment, Weary, Who Shot Thebarman, Kool Kompany, Storm The Stars and Vanbrugh.

There are 75 horses still in the running for the $3 million Doncaster Mile from a nomination of 163.

New Zealand three-year-old Xtravagant has been taken out of the race after finishing unplaced in the Australian Guineas at Flemington on Saturday.

Entries for the ATC Australian Derby are down to 47 from an original 129.
