Australia's most successful racing stables have made early bids for next month's Hobart Cup, putting themselves in line for a $100,000 bonus.

Entries for the first leg of a rich Tasmanian double include four from the Gai Waterhouse stable, headed by her Sandown Cup runner-up Reuben Percival and stablemate, Kinnersely, the winner of this month's Magic Millions Stayers Cup.

The entries also include Fortunefivehundred and Shadows In The Sun from the Anthony Cummings stable and Marden from the all-powerful Chris Waller team.

Melbourne's top trainer Peter Moody has entered Elusive King and Mick Kent has entered You Think So and Backbone.

The $225,000 Group Three Hobart Cup (2400m) is run on Febrary 10 with the second leg of the double, the Launceston Cup (2400m) on February 27.

If the same horse wins both races connections will receive a $100,000 bonus.
