Gerald Ryan knows as much about the progeny of Snitzel as anyone, but the trainer says it's pot luck whether they handle the wet or not.

As he prepares to take the wraps off another Snitzel two-year-old, heavy rain in Sydney and the prospect of more before El Sasso races on Saturday has Ryan unsure of his chances.

Ryan trained Snitzel to win the 2006 Oakleigh Plate which was run on a heavy track but said not all his sons and daughters get through it.

"Some do and some don't," Ryan said.

"Hot Snitzel has won in the wet, Top Drop doesn't like it and nor does Snitzerland. We'll just have to wait and see.

"He won his trial well. He is tall, leggy colt and very athletic.

"But it doesn't really matter what the Snitzels look like, they can all run."

El Sasso is one of eight two-year-olds entered for the 1200m two-year-old race with Twilight Royale among the nominations.

The Bjorn Baker-trained filly, a winner of the Inglis Nursery on debut and second to Swing Vote earlier this month, is headed to the Inglis Premier in Melbourne.

The Ryan-trained Centrepet, a last-start winner at Rosehill, is a Snitzel who does handle the wet with a win and a second placing on slow ground on her record.

She is entered for the Benchmark 75 for the three-year-olds over 1200 metres.

"She loves wet ground and has done well since her win," Ryan said.

Unbeaten colt Rebel Dane has been nominated for the three-year-old race as well as the Benchmark 85 against older horses with Gary Portelli to make a decision later this week.

Ryan also has Planetarium entered for Rosehill where he will try to turn the tables on last-start conqueror Kukri who edged him by a short head in a similar 2000m race last Saturday week.

"He galloped well this morning," Ryan said.

"He's been very consistent for new owners and he'll definitely run."

Hugh Bowman will ride El Sasso while Glyn Schofield stays with Centrepet and Planetarium.
