Miracles Of Life all the rage for Diamond

Sunday 27 January 2013, 6:13pm

Adelaide filly Miracles Of Life confirmed her Blue Diamond favouritism with a dominant win in Saturday's Preview at Caulfield but Guelph's win at Warwick Farm didn't go unnoticed.

The Peter Snowden-trained filly is now second favourite for the Group One juvenile feature on February 23.

Snowden elected to keep the filly in Sydney for Saturday's race, and although she had trouble holding a position early, Guelph finished the race off exactly as the trainer wanted.

Miracles Of Life is TAB's $3.30 favourite ahead of Guelph at $7.50 with Thermal Current at $11 following his unlucky third in the Preview for colts and geldings.

Guelph will now head to the Fillies Prelude on February 9 at Caulfield while Miracles Of Life may not run again before the Blue Diamond.

Her owner, Sri Lankan businessman Muzaffar Yaseen, will also have to pay a late entry fee to put her in the race.

Trainer Daniel Clarken said he would sit down with Yaseen's bloodstock representative Iris O'Farrell to discuss the best move going forward.

He also said his preference was to keep apprentice Lauren Stojakovic aboard after her handling of the filly at Caulfield.

"You'd need a crowbar to get her off," Clarken told Sky's Racing Retro.

"I've got to sit down and have a talk to the owners about it all."

Clarken admitted he had received calls from every leading Melbourne jockey or their manager but so far they have fallen on deaf ears.

"I reckon I brought two great fillies to Caulfield yesterday and will bring them back again," he said.

Stojakovic, who was told on Tuesday she had retained the ride for the Preview, said she was not as nervous as she thought she might have been and handled the pressure of her first ride at Caulfield well.

"At first I was really nervous, but as the week went on I calmed down," she said.
