Keen Ice, the only horse to beat Triple Crown winner American Pharoah last year, heads a strong list of American nominations for the $10 million Dubai World Cup.

Keen Ice won the Travers Stakes to take his claim for the World Cup on March 26.

The son of 2008 World Cup winner Curlin, Keen Ice will be bidding to give his trainer Dale Romans a second win to go with Roses In May's victory in 2005.

The 2014 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner, California Chrome is already in Dubai and will have one lead-up run to the World Cup.

Another US-based raider already in Dubai is Godolphin's Wood Memorial winner, Frosted, trained by Kiaran McLaughlin while Dortmund, the 2015 Santa Anita Derby winner for trainer Bob Baffert, has been nominated for the World Cup.
