A trip to Brisbane for the winter carnival beckons for Jacqui's Joy after she brought up a winning hat-trick at Caulfield.

The Mitchell Beer and Max Hinton-trained filly now heads for a break after her win in the Timothy Rourke Handicap on Saturday.

After winning at Kilmore at her first start for the duo, Jacqui's Joy has notched back-to-back victories at Caulfield over 1400m.

"Whether we decide to give her one or two runs here and go to Brisbane, or take her straight up there, is yet to be decided," Beer said.

"She deserves to have a little break as it's probably just a little bit early to go all the way through to autumn."

Ridden by Harry Coffey, Jacqui's Joy ($6) scored by a half neck from the favourite Majestic Lass ($2.80) with Egypt ($13) 2-3/4 lengths away third.

Beer said the stable was looking to Brisbane as the filly has shown an ability to handle all types of going.

She was placed on heavy ground in New Zealand and has won her three starts in Australia on three different track ratings.

And Beer likes the way she relaxes.

"She is quite happy to find a spot and spit the bit out but she's all heart and digs deep whether it's a heavy ten or a good three," Beer said.

"She's just a trier and when you find one with a brain, and heart, it takes you a long way."
