Pink Perfection is a Magic Millions graduate but is unlikely to head north for the sales company's rich race day next month at the Gold Coast.
The mare brought up trainer Peter Moody's second win of the Boxing Day meeting at Caulfield when she raced to a first-up success in the Dennis Hanrahan Handicap (1100m), a benchmark-90 for fillies and mares.
"She's a (Magic) Millions filly but there's not a race to suit her," Moody said.
The Magic Millions day is on January 9 and offers total prize money of $10 million.
"The mares' race up there is 1300 metres and that would find her out in 14 days second-up," Moody said.
"So we'll just pick our mark carefully down here through the summer and try to place her to advantage."
The Magic Millions Sprint is over 1100m but Moody suggested the opposition would likely be too strong.
Glen Boss had Pink Perfection on speed before taking her to the front approaching the 200m.
The daughter of Mossman maintained a winning advantage to the line over the chasing Sentfromthestars, scoring by 1-1/4 lengths with Simply Ming 2-1/4 lengths away third.
Moody won earlier with two-year-old Hell Of An Effort.
