Summer Cup I'm Imposing's last start

Monday 21 December 2015, 5:30pm

Chris Waller admits I'm Imposing isn't going as well as when he won last year's Summer Cup but the trainer would like nothing more than to see him go out a winner.

Saturday's 2000m-race at Randwick will be the swan song for 10-year-old who has earned more than $600,000 since arriving in Australia from Ireland five years ago.

I'm Imposing is one of three Waller-trained horses among the 10 entries for the Group Three race.

"This will be his last race," Waller said.

"I'm hoping he can improve and go out on a good note.

"He doesn't have a new home yet but we will find him a good one. We always do."

Junoob and Telepathic are the stable's other two Summer Cup nominations. Junoob will be having his first start since he won the Ballarat Cup on November 21.

Telepathic goes to the race off two wins followed by a sixth in the Group Two Villiers Stakes in which I'm Imposing finished 12th of the 20 runners.

Festival Stakes winner Mighty Lucky, who finished just in front of Telepathic in the Villiers on December 12, is nominated for what would be his first start over 2000 metres.
