Unbeaten records will go on the line at Caulfield on Saturday when seven last-start winners clash in an intriguing Blue Diamond Preview for fillies.

Among them is Blue Diamond Stakes favourite Miracles Of Life, who backed up her debut win in Adelaide with a nine-length victory at Morphettville three weeks ago.

The Peter Snowden-trained Montsegur, one of the more impressive juvenile winners in Melbourne this season, reappears from a freshen-up in the 1000m event while leading trainer Peter Moody saddles up debut winners Diamond Glow and Mystical Miss.

The David Hayes-trained Bulbula, Swing Vote for Gai Waterhouse and Donna Madeira from the Pat Carey stable are the other undefeated youngsters.

Saturday's Listed Blue Diamond Preview for fillies, along with the colts and geldings division, are the opening races in the Blue Diamond series.

They will be followed by the two Preludes at Caulfield two weeks later ahead of the $1 million Group One Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) on February 23.

"It's going to be an intriguing race, the fillies division on Saturday," Montsegur's assistant trainer Paul Snowden said.

"There's going to be a few bubbles that burst. Hopefully it's not ours.

"She's in good order."

Connections of Miracles Of Life decided to stick with Adelaide apprentice Lauren Stojakovic and the Daniel Clarken-trained filly will jump from barrier six in the 10-horse field.

Montsegur, to be ridden by Darley stable jockey Kerrin McEvoy, has the rails.

Clarken said the performance of Miracles Of Life would play a key role in determining whether they paid a late entry fee to run in Victoria's premier juvenile race.

Both Miracles Of Life, $7 in Blue Diamond betting, and Montsegur ($13) are not nominated for the Group One.

"We've got that carrot of the Blue Diamond dangling and it's a nice carrot to be chasing," Clarken said.

"She's got to perform well on Saturday and pull up well before we make any decision."

The colts and geldings Preview has attracted a field of 11 with the Snowden-trained Kuroshio installed favourite just ahead of Moody's Thermal Current.

Kuroshio won Melbourne's first juvenile race of the season at Flemington in early October before finishing third to Villa Verde and Overreach in the Debutants Stakes at Caulfield.
