Victorian racing officials are preparing to change race schedules around the state over the next few days because of predicted hot conditions.

Racing Victoria has already brought Friday's Echuca meeting forward by an hour and made changes to Saturday's program at Wangaratta.

Further amendments to other meetings are likely on Wednesday.

The hot weather policy will be in place with extra veterinarians on course, buckets of iced water available and horses spending shorter times in the mounting enclosure pre-race.
