Sydney's past two premiership winners, Hugh Bowman and James McDonald, take on the world's best in the International Jockeys Challenge in Hong Kong.

Bowman represents Australia while McDonald flies the flag for his native New Zealand in the four-race series at Happy Valley on Wednesday night.

Victor Espinoza, the rider of triple crown winner American Pharoah, rides for the United States while Great Britain has two representatives, Ryan Moore and Silvestre de Sousa.

Ex-pat Australian Brett Prebble is one of four jockeys for Hong Kong.

The Jockeys Challenge is part of the build-up to Sunday's International meeting at Sha Tin.
