Glen Boss right at home in Origin series

Saturday 5 December 2015, 3:24pm

Glen Boss rode an inspired race to put Queensland in front after a controversial first day of the State of Origin jockeys series at Doomben on Saturday.

Boss won the second heat on Britalia Kate to give Queensland 10 points with three meetings remaining in the series.

Danielle Johnson was next on six points for New Zealand with Craig Williams (Victoria) on four and Tye Angland (NSW) on three.

Boss won both heats having taken the first on Honey Holt.

But Racing Queensland officials ruled he could earn points for that win because it wasn't his original mount.

Boss has asked the decision be reviewed next week before the second meeting of the series next Saturday.
