JIM CASSIDY RETIRED AT FLEMINGTON ON OAKS DAY

* Born January 21, 1963 in New Zealand

* Started apprenticeship in 1979

* First winner: Tarlton at Hastings (1979)

* One of just four jockeys to have ridden 100 Group One winners

* Inducted into Australian Racing Hall of Fame in 2012

* Won racing's grand slam of the Melbourne Cup (twice), Caulfield Cup (twice), Cox Plate and Golden Slipper

* 1988 suspended for 12 months for his handling of Cruising in a race at Rosehill

* 1995 banned for 21 months over Jockey Tapes scandal
