Fifth Stakes- Winner for Uncle Mo

Tuesday 27 October 2015, 2:24pm

It’s always nice to break your maiden in a stakes race and that was the scenario for talented colt Forevamo (2c Uncle Mo x Candlelightdinner, by Slew Gin Fizz), winner of the $200,000 Jean Laffitte Stakes at Delta Downs on Saturday night.

Sent off a heavily backed favourite following promising efforts at his first two starts, the Albert Stall trained colt lived up to expectations when proving too good in the run to the line to win the one mile contest by three-quarters of a length.

A $320,000 OBS April 2YO Sale purchase, Forevamo runs for Brittlyn Stables and is bred to be good as a half-brother to Champion Female Sprinter and dual Grade I winner Musical Romance.

He is the fifth winner for good producer Candlelightdinner and is the fifth stakes-winner for his super exciting young sire Uncle Mo, who is delivering the goods for his supporters at every turn.
