Ready For Victory new Guineas favourite

Monday 14 September 2015, 6:25pm

Ready For Victory is the new favourite for the Group One Caulfield Guineas with Exosphere to be kept to sprints this spring.

The Mick Prince-trained Ready For Victory is at $4 in the TAB's Caulfield Guineas market ahead of Press Statement ($4.40) with Exosphere now at $6.50 and listed as unlikely.

Exosphere won Saturday's Golden Rose (1400m) but Darren Beadman, an assistant to Godolphin trainer John O'Shea, confirmed on Monday the colt would not step up to the 1600 metres of the Caulfield Guineas.

"They're looking to go down the sprinting side of it, with the Roman Consul and then down to Melbourne for the straight races," Beadman told radio station RSN in relation to the rest of Exosphere's spring program.

The Group One Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m) is at Flemington on October 31.
