Racing Victoria is confident of having the first Group One race meeting of the season televised on pay TV as part of its Racing.com coverage.
In partnership with The Seven Network, Racing Victoria will use Saturday's Memsie Stakes meeting at Caulfield to officially launch Racing.com.
The new free-to-air channel is a joint venture between Seven West Media and Racing Victoria.
Racing Victoria chief executive Bernard Saundry said negotiations were almost finalised to have the Racing.com broadcast available on a pay TV platform.
The coverage would join the free-to-air coverage already shown on channel 78 in metropolitan areas and channel 68 in regional areas.
Saundry also said was hopeful of areas in the Northern Territory, country South Australia and Tasmania would also receive the Memsie Stakes day broadcast.
The Racing.com coverage will also be available on computers, tablets and mobile phones through corporate affiliated bookmaking websites.
Sky Channel will also show the Caulfield meeting on its wall-to-wall coverage.
Bruce McAvaney will co-host the Memsie Stakes coverage for Racing.com.
Channel 7TWO will also provide free-to-air coverage from 2pm of the Caulfield and Rosehill meetings.
