Brilliantly fast and precocious, high class Testa Rossa colt Unencumbered was a natural racehorse from day one and with a Magic Millions 2YO Classic win on the resume and a burgeoning stud career at Three Bridges Thoroughbreds, his first foals are doing the talking.

Standing at a fee of $13,200, Unencumbered was a popular choice last year covering 119 mares and his first foals are nothing short of stunning.

"It’s just wonderful to see Unencumbered delivering such nice foals, and while ‘I know every stud master says that’, we have three crackers from three foals so far and the photos certainly speak for themselves,” said Toby Liston.

Colt Unencumbered x Tangerine Dream (Fr) – Half-brother to Group I Tatts Tiara winner Pear Tart.

"This foal is a little ripper, lovely white markings on his head from his mother, but he certainly has thrown to the precociousness of his father and is more compact and ready to go than her last two foals by Northern Meteor and Snitzel.”

Filly Unencumbered x Infinite Grace – From outstanding Group II winner Infinite Grace, a half-sister to the dam of Group II winner Fontein Ruby from the family of dual Cox Plate winner Fields of Omagh.

"Only a few days old, but a lovely foal again from a Group II winner of $850k. Bred by Martin O’Connor and it’s fair to say that he is happy to get a lovely filly from that family that has been so good to him.”

Filly Unencumbered x Actors Guild – Second foal of a well related mare from the family of European Group I winner Lend a Hand and Australian stakes-winners Liveandletdie and Artlee.

"From a young Elusive Quality mare, it’s her second foal and she has certainly delivered. Deep Field, Shooting To Win and Guelph have certainly put him on the map in Australia as a fantastic broodmare sire.”

Unencumbered is poised to carry on the legacy of one of Victoria’s favourite sons in Testa Rossa.

"Unencumbered has an incredible following from his two year old exploits as a tough, fast and explosive two year old, so we welcome everybody to the farm to come and see him as a mature stallion with sensational foals on the ground,” said Toby Liston.

"We are always grateful for the support of our terrific clients who have supported Three Bridges and in particular Unencumbered in his first season.

"His freshman book of mares couldn’t have pleased us more, but what we find even more exciting is that his second season crop of mares will surpass his first.”
