Stablehand Daniel Schmitt has been ordered to write letters of apology to AFL players Adam Goodes and Bachar Houli after an inquiry into racial comments he posted about the pair on social media.
The former jockey fronted Victoria's Racing Appeals and Disciplinary board on Friday to answer charges of conduct prejudicial to the image of racing.
He is also required to apologise to Victoria's chief steward Terry Bailey for comments criticising him on Twitter.
Schmitt must write letters unreservedly apologising to Goodes and Houli via their respective AFL clubs and Bailey within 14 days.
Schmitt said he accepted responsibility for his actions.
"I just want to apologise to anyone I've offended, obviously it wasn't my intention," Schmitt told racing.com.
"It was distasteful and I've since closed down my social media (accounts) so it will definitely never, ever happen again.
"I'll get on top of writing my apologies to the people I've offended and hopefully you'll never hear of it again."
