Amanda Turner believes Intrepid Way will be better when he is older but she will give him one more opportunity to add to his two-year-old record.

The gelding has won two of his four starts and will line up in Saturday's 2YO handicap (1400m) at Randwick against a similar field he beat at Rosehill on June 27.

Trained by Turner in partnership with Mauro Poletti at Warwick Farm, Intrepid Way has done all his racing on wet tracks with rain expected in Sydney later in the week.

"I will take his blood later in the week just to be sure but at the moment it is better than it was before he won," Turner said.

"The track should still be soft enough for him and the good news is we have got Winona (Costin) to ride again."

Intrepid Way's Rosehill win was one of three on the day for Costin, a runaway leader in the Sydney apprentices' title.

There were 12 entries taken on Monday for the juvenile race including Electric Tribute, a wayward second to Intrepid Way at Rosehill.

The David Pfieffer-trained Electric Tribute veered out sharply in the final 50 metres and Tye Angland's attempts to straighten him using the whip earned him a week-long suspension, ruling him out of the ride on Saturday.

Turner said Intrepid Way would have a short break before his next campaign.

"He will go out for about a month after Saturday," she said.

"And he will go out a fit horse. He is a big eater but you wouldn't know that to look at him.

"I can't see where it goes but he's unlikely to get too heavy in the spelling paddock.

"I think he will get up to 1600 and possibly 2000 metres later on and that opens up options.

"While he's out spelling, I'll take a good look at the program."

In little more than a week since Intrepid Way's win, the Turner-Poletti team has sent out another three runners with Bring Luck running two minor places, Sweet Kiss winning at Warwick Farm last Wednesday and Sabino Speed successful at Kembla Grange on Monday.
