Brazen Beau favourite for July Cup

Monday 6 July 2015, 7:25am

Australian colt Brazen Beau will have a strong work-out at Newmarket ahead of the July Cup with Chris Waller in attendance.

The Sydney trainer flew to England on Sunday to oversee Brazen Beau's lead-up to the famous sprint.

Brazen Beau finished a close second in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot to earn favouritism for Saturday's 1200m race on the undulating course.

Diamond Jubilee winner, American Undrafted, will not run in the July Cup.

Brazen Beau will race in the royal blue colours of Godolphin with Sheikh Mohammed's operation now the sole owner of the colt.

Race jockey James Doyle is expected to partner Brazen Beau in his gallop on Monday (Tuesday AEST).
