Trainer Lee Freedman has black type on his mind for Hazard after the mare's victory at Caulfield.
The Group Three Proud Miss Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville on May 16 has been pencilled in as Hazard's next assignment with the Group One Tattersall's Tiara (1400m) at the Gold Coast next month her ultimate aim.
Freedman said he had reservations about heading to Brisbane because of the prospect of racing on wet tracks at Doomben, but with the Tiara at the Gold Coast it was a better option.
Intelligently ridden by apprentice Tom Sadler, Hazard ($3.80) beat the $2.60 favourite Miss Promiscuity by a long head with Jessy Belle ($10) two lengths away third in Saturday's Ern Jensen Funerals Plate over 1100m.
Freedman's instructions to Sadler were to not get trapped third on the fence aboard the mare and to tackle Miss Promiscuity early in the straight.
"They were clearly the two best mares in the race and full credit to Miss Promiscuity, she took a lot of getting past," Freedman said.
"We trained the half-brother (Java) and the half-sister (Crucial) and they've both been stakes winners and we'd like to make this one too."
Hazard is one of several horses Freedman and his brother and training partner Anthony prepare for Godolphin outside the stable of Sheikh Mohammed's No.1 Australian trainer John O'Shea.
