Fall mars winning double for Jeff Lloyd

Saturday 18 April 2015, 5:44pm

Veteran jockey Jeff Lloyd escaped serious injury when he fell from We're Ready at Doomben on Saturday.

We're Ready was running third on the home turn when it appeared to dip and dislodged Lloyd who was sent tumbling along the track.

After being treated by ambulancemen Lloyd was able to get a lift back to scale with a trackman.

Lloyd had a facial graze and was complaining of soreness.

"It is all part of racing. I will hang around for a while to make certain it is nothing else but I don't need to go to hospital," Lloyd said.

He rode a double at the meeting, winning on Monaco Doll and Write Cheek.
