Angelic Light out of Adelaide carnival

Tuesday 14 April 2015, 12:12pm

Talented sprinter Angelic Light has been ruled out of a planned Adelaide campaign with a tendon issue.

The Robbie Griffiths-trained mare had the Group One Robert Sangster Stakes and The Goodwood as targets at the upcoming carnival in South Australia but the problem means she will not race until the spring.

Griffiths Racing said on Twitter a routine scan showed some activity in Angelic Light's right fore tendon.

Angelic Light finished second in the Robert Sangster Stakes two years ago and netted another Group One second in the Manikato Stakes in the spring.

Her biggest win so far has been the Group Two McEwen Stakes last September when she beat reigning Horse of the Year Lankan Rupee.
