James McDonald has flagged Inner Circle's lack of race experience as his one concern heading into the Group Two Pago Pago Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday.

"There are no worries with him not coping with the next step up, he's big and strong and he showed good tactical speed on debut," McDonald said.

"It's just whether he's got the race craft to win.

"He's a colt that does a lot wrong which is going to be a bit of a worry."

Inner Circle is not nominated for the Golden Slipper with Godolphin instead keen to target the Sires' Produce Stakes, a race on the resume of the youngster's dam Camarilla and his half-sister Guelph.

An authoritative winner of his only start last month, Inner Circle is rated highly by trainer John O'Shea who believes he will end up the best of Godolphin's current crop of juveniles.

He shares top billing for the Pago Pago with the Peter and Paul Snowden-trained Paceman which will wear blinkers for the first time in a bid to resurrect his Golden Slipper campaign after a last-start failure.

Inner Circle's stablemate Tarquin, a winner on debut at Newcastle, will also contest the Pago Pago while Italy and Igraine fly the flag for Sheikh Mohammed's team in the Magic Night Stakes for the fillies.
