Victorian jockey Ryan Maloney has achieved a career best with five winners at Stony Creek.
Maloney said he had ridden four winners a couple of times previously but Monday's performance was something special.
His winners were Gee Whizzer, Wallbanger, Vinge Grande, Tailorman and Solar Duchess.
Wallbanger gave Maloney with a pre-race scare when he veered to the fence on the way to the barriers.
Maloney jumped off and over the rail then chased and caught Wallbanger in the 1780m chute. He remounted and the gelding went on to claim a 1000m maiden success.
Maloney said confidence was paramount in racing.
"You ride every horse to give it every chance," Maloney said.
"When I walk away with one winner for the day I'm happy, but today I'm really proud of my achievement."
Maloney said he would not be able to celebrate heavily with trackwork looming on Tuesday morning.
He won't be race riding again until Wednesday at Sandown where he has one ride, Crackajack for Robbie Griffiths, the trainer of his fifth winner Solar Duchess.
"I'm sure the missus will let me have a couple of beers tonight," Maloney said.
