Matchem Racing

Matchem Racing’s charter is to improve the selection procedures associated with selecting elite thoroughbreds using a blend of scientific techniques, embracing DNA genetic testing and cardiovascular measurements, as well as experienced veterinary and bloodstock expertise.

In addition to selecting yearlings for clients we operate a racing syndication business to source horses that are selected using our techniques and to offer a different racing experience. That experience will involve a new communication system that will embrace more information and data on horse performance during its training program.

Matchem (1748-1781) is named after the great racehorse of that name who won 10 of his 12 lifetime starts, including the prestigious race ‘The Whip’ at Newmarket, then considered one of the best races in the land. Retiring to stud Matchem was the leading sire in Great Britain and Ireland. Following his death, the Matchem sire line flourished and along with Eclipse and Herod, he heads one of the only three surviving sire lines in the throughbred breed.
