The yearling market loved the first crop of TIME THIEF'S , gaining in popularity as the sales season progresses as shown by the results of the MM Adelaide sales. 3 yearlings presented , 3 sold for $90K , $70K & $28K.

TIME THIEF himself was an absolute stunner , a $2M yearling , and he is throwing type. Of 20+ yearlings sold during the early yearling sales he didn't have a disaster result with the lowest priced at $18k ranging through to $90k , for an average $35K.

Race him , prep him for a ready to run , or even target the Asian market where his 1/2 brother SAMURAI PHOENIX was held in high regard ( see him race in the "play a video of this horse " feature of this listing ).

The resemblance this colt has to DANZIG ( photo 2 ) is uncanny. He carries a perfect 4 ( through sire line ) x 2 ( as sire of dam of this colt ) . This is classic TESIO sex balanced line breeding.

This is the first time DIFFERENT APPROACH has been bred to a Danzig line stallion to take advantage of the TESIO principle.

As mentioned this yearling is a half brother to Samurai Phoenix who was sold to Singapaore , immediately making an impact ( See Videos 1 & 2 ) . So much so that only after a handful of starts he started 2nd fav in the Gr1 $1M , Singapore Derby where Nash Rawiller made the trip to ride him , after earlier making the trip to ride him in the Gr1 Patron's Bowl ( Video 3 ) .

In addition to the Gr1 Singapore Derby , this colt's half brother also contested the Gr1 Patron's Bowl & Gr1 Singapore Gold Cup. He is still racing well as a 7yo , having finished a close 2nd 9th June in a $75K event.

This colt is far bigger & stronger than SAMURAI who races at 475 kg , about 50 kg's lighter than this yearling.

Half sister Genepi showed good ability , winning her maiden early , then straight to Listed race where was unfortunately injured and retired to stud , her 1st foal wins at 2nd start at strong Pakenham venue .

So in summary , this yearling is by TIME THIEF a $2M son of Redoute's Choice , from one of the very few DANZIG mares in Australia , from a Listed GONE WEST mare , and a half to a colt with exceptional ability , and only the 2nd colt from the mare .
