Description

Red Ribbon is a very attractive daughter of emerging young stallion Red Arrow. She is out of the high class stakes winning Scenic mare Visual Displays. Visual Displays herself sold for $200,000 in foal at the Lindsay Park Breeding Dispersal some years ago.

Red Ribbon is from a very good commercial pedigree and would have sold for very good money as a yearling herself, but the owner liked her so much he retained her to race without putting her through the ring.

She has raced only a handful of times in the highly competitive Melbourne Racing scene, and was trained at Flemington by Russell Cameron. During this time she showed plenty in her work and just failed to replicate this on race day. She shows a liking for a staying trip and I am sure in weaker company will provide her new owners with alot of fun. She is eligible for a maiden, and she should win hers without too much trouble.

Her current owner only wants metropolitan horses, so she is placed on the market at a great price.

Once she is finished racing she should go on to be a very good broodmare, and throw very good looking stock like herself.

I don't think she will last long at this price.
