Moondance is easily 16.2hh and has a good dual purpose pedigree. She ran a close second (nose) after leading all the way at Geelong over 1900m three starts back (in May 2014) so she has real staying ability. She had a minor throat operation in Spring 2013 and has come back a better horse but now needs a spell (been up since January) and the syndicate racing her want to move on to another horse. She would be ideal for Queensland because she doesn't like the wet. Owner has the dam and 1/2 sister Blue Light as broodmares. She is perfectly sound and can be scoped prior as a condition of sale (at the purchaser's expense) if required. Her 1/2 brother by Artie Schiller sold this year as a yearling for $35K in Melbourne (to be trained at Caulfield) so she has a bit of upside. Dam has nice Reward for Effort colt (weanling) and Blue Light is in foal to Magnus.
