WARHORSE - LATEWATCH (BY NIGHT SHIFT) 2YO Chestnut Filly

Country Racing Syndications are excited to offer this speedy filly by Warhorse to be trained with one of our amazing country trainers Sharon Jeffries.

Don’t wait to see your horse on the track! Most syndicated horses are yearlings whereby you must wait 12, 18, or sometimes even 24 months to see your horse at the trials. Currently in training, this filly is a stunning individual with a great body, a massive top end.
She just looks like a ROCKET!

Shares are now available which include all costs until 31st May 2021. Come join in the fun with Country Racing Syndications.

THE FILLY - WARHORSE x LATEWATCH (BY NIGHT SHIFT)

This WARHORSE filly is currently in training with Sharon Jeffries Parkes stables, she is enjoying her work and is easy to deal with.

She has a powerful top line and has speed written all over her. Overall, this is a very impressive young filly that fits the mould of a sprinter and her pedigree that suggests the same.
Her breeder Christoph Bruechert (Bombora Downs) had this to say about her:
“She just looks like a rocket to me, she is a stunning individual with a great body, a massive top end and she’ll go quick. She hasn’t got a bad page either and is just a really nice horse.”
She has passed her clinical examination and is sound.

SIRE - WARHORSE

The Sire WARHORSE was a precocious and champion 2-year-old, winning the Group 3 Eclipse Stakes (Ellerslie) at his third start and then saluting two runs later in the 2012 Group 1 Diamond Stakes (also at Ellerslie), both over 1200m. He finished his 2-year-old year with 2 wins, a second and 2 thirds from 6 starts, 5 of which were at Group level.

Warhorse (NZ) was voted Champion 2-year-old of the 2011/12 season by New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing.

As a 3-year-old he won the Listed Bonecrusher Stakes (Ellerslie) over 1400m before finishing a game third behind dual Doncaster Handicap winner Sacred Falls in the 2012 Group 1 New Zealand 2000 Guineas (1600m) at Riccarton where he challenged three wide on the turn and was beaten only a head and a neck.

Warhorse (NZ) was an outstanding 2-year-old, a Classic performed 3-year-old and then went on to be a proven Group Class weight-for-age performer. He performed at Group level from 2 to 5 years and was an outstanding sprinter.

DAM – LATE WATCH

The Dam LATE WATCH is a proven broodmare, Late Watch producing seven winners including the Listed winner Crying Storm, the Gr.3 placed nine times winner Ozi Choice, the metropolitan winner Villagio, the five times winner Forenzic and the four times winner Butler Butler.

This Dam Sire is by the highly successful Northern Dancer stallion Night Shift who hails from the same family as Encosta de Lago and Flying Spur. He is a world-renowned broodmare sire, his daughters producing 111 stakes winners including the Gr.1 gallopers Somnus, Daryakana, Beaded, Mental and Long John. Late Watch is a half-sister to the Gr.2 placed Crying out of a half-sister to the Silver Slipper Stakes Winner Been There.

This is an historic Australian family, one which descends from the Melbourne Cup winner Rainbird (Late Watch's fifth dam) - also ancestress of the Gr.1 winners Raindear, Malaguerra, Snitzerland and Aloha and the Group winners Rain Affair, Rainbeam, Centaine, Wicked Smile, Deedle, Rainburst, Fear Burst, Nina Haraka, Sooboog, Tennessee Vain, Tennessee Morn, Trezevant, Mystic Power and Tennessee Jack.

TRAINER – SHARON JEFFRIES

Sharon always knew that she wanted to work with horses however dad Kevin Langby former leading Sydney jockey was a little reluctant for his girl to go into the stables so upon leaving school Sharon took up a position with the Australian Olympic Coach for dressage. For three years Sharon gained valuable experience on the movement and training of horse’s right up to Grand Prix level.

In 1985 after Kevin won the Cox Plate on Rising Prince trained at Bathurst by long-time family friend Deirdre Stein, Kevin softened and allowed Sharon to go to work for Deirdre at the leading country stable of the time.

After this stint it was only a matter of time before Sharon got her own training licence which became a reality in 1995. Since then, Sharon has successfully grown her stables, the key ingredient being a truly hands-on family business. Sharon’s family are a team who ensure every horse is treated as an individual athlete and becomes part of their family.

Located at the wonderful Parkes Racecourse, Sharon Jefferies Racing has access to 25 stables, a spacious 2000 metre track, large paddocks with a quiet and relaxed atmosphere to keep horses fresh and happy.

Training with their own unique style, Sharon and the team use these great facilities with a meticulous hands-on approach working each horse out individually to help them reach their potential, making her a perfect fit for Country Racing Syndications.
