Race this filly by Trapeze Artist out of Weekend Gossip. She is a half-sister to Elite Thoroughbreds Stakes winners STARTURBO & I’M ALL THE TALK!


We purchased this filly on day 3 of the Inglis Premier sale.

The above share prices include GST on purchase, sale expenses, Inglis race series & Golden Slipper nominations, breaking in & education, syndicate & registration fees and spelling costs until June 2026. Insurance is also included in the share price until February 2027.


As a 2-year-old Trapeze Artist won two races including the Black Opal Stakes. He also finished 6th in the Golden Slipper. As a 3-year-old he won his first Group 1 race the Golden Rose Stakes by a record margin of 4 lengths after being backed in from odds of 90/1 into 40/1. Further Group 1 success was achieved by winning the TJ Smith Stakes in a race record time, bettering the race time of Black Caviar. Three weeks later he won a further Group 1 in the All Aged Stakes, and his last race win came in the Group 1 Canterbury Stakes when ridden by Blake Shinn. He is the sire of Gr1 Caulfield Guineas winner GRIFF, Gr3 winners FACILE and DUCASSE. He is also the sire of 8 Stakes horses this season, inc. Stakes winners PINITO and FLYING BANDIT, 2YO Stakes placed TUPAKARA (Gr1), DREAM SIDE (Gr3) and ARTISTIC VENTURE (L).


This filly will be trained by Gary Portelli. Portelli has produced an array of Stakes winners in his time such as Group 1 Golden Slipper winners Fireburn and She Will Reign, as well as Group winners Rebel Dane, Encap, Single Bullet, Kimochi and Verona Rose. He has also trained Stakes and city winning horses for Elite Thoroughbreds such as Testashadow, Sebring Sun, I’m All The Talk and Straturbo.


Sale Comments: We know the family well having raced her half-brother Straturbo and I’m All The Talk. She is typical of the family and represents great value!
