Description

This Russian Revolution filly is a terrific type by a young sire doing the job out of a stake winning USA mare who has already thrown a stakes placed 2yo winner in the USA.

I have been impressed for some time with Newgate Farm’s strategy of bringing in well credentialled stakes class mares from the USA and mating them with our colonial sires. I have purchased three of these to have raced including the ill-fated Woodlands Stud Stakes winner Xtremetime, multiple winner and city placed Embeller and winner Wild Spree. Henry Field who runs Newgate Farm has access to some very well performed American mares with the right credentials to do the job here.

This filly is out of the stakes winning mare Plethora (USA) who has already thrown the stakes placed two-year-old winner Poppy’s Destiny in America as well as another winner and placed horse from just three to race.

Plethora is out of the stakes placed mare Plenty who also threw the stakes placed winner of five races in Congo and three other winners.

Plenty is a sister to Border Dispute the dam of Combatant, the Group 1 winner of the Santa Anita Stakes as well as the Group 3 winner Long Lashes, Group 2 placed Mythical Border and stakes placed winner of 13 races Bordini.

This is an outstanding family with this filly having all the attributes to continue to move it forward in Australia.

The filly will be paid up for the Inglis Race Series and looks an early runner to me. I’m thrilled to have secured her and she heads to Tom Dabernig at Warrnambool.

I have had terrific success purchasing yearlings from Newgate. At the 2020 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale I secured three fillies from Newgate, including Xtremetime with Tillotson and Miss In Charge both winning at Canterbury with Miss In Charge also running 4th in the Listed Calaway Gal Stakes. I also purchased the city class mare Embeller and 3yo winner Wild Spree from the farm.

These are exceptional results.
