Description

The most versatile G1 winning son of RESET, the dual G1 Derby winning REBEL RAIDER showed incredible talent on the racetrack and has had immediate success now as a stallion.

On the racetrack, not only did REBEL RAIDER win the G1 VRC and South Australian Derbies over 2500m, but also had the speed to drop back the following year and win the G3 Spring Stakes over 1200m too! Add those wins to a G3 Sire’s Produce over 1600m and a Listed Chairman’s Stakes over 2000m before injury cut short his career, and it’s easy to see that REBEL RAIDER was the real deal. With over $1.4 million in prizemoney, only the Caulfield Cup winner FAWKNER has been a better-performed son of the outstanding stallion RESET.

As a racehorse he was elite, and as a young stallion REBEL RAIDER has followed up with early success. From just 15 young runners to hit the track so far, we’ve seen 4 winners with a further 5 placed. Importantly, we’ve seen him already produce his first stakes winner with PRETTY PUNK winning the Hill Smith Stakes in October, and also the stakes-placed ACE ATTACK finishing third in the Morphettville Guineas. With his young progeny scoring between 1200m to 1800m early in their careers, he’s showing that he’s an exciting and versatile producer from very limited opportunities. It’s been an exciting start to a stud career and one which looks set to be built on as his progeny stretch out over more ground just as he did himself.

On the female side, this filly has some serious strength through her dam-line. Her first dam Stormy Flyer has had 9 of her progeny to the races and ALL HAVE BEEN WINNERS! Collectively they’ve won a whopping 39 races so far! Included in those winners are the stakes-winner STORM ROLLING IN and the twice stakes-placed TRUST ME BET, winners of 4 and 6 races respectively.

Further down her pedigree, you’ll see an exciting international black-type family throughout. They include her second dam ALYGATOR who won 4 times and was stakes placed 3 times, SURFING HOME who was a dual Group 1 winner and South African Horse of the Year, and also BADGER’s COAST-another dual G1 winner who was named South African Champion 3yo Classic Male. With many other group and stakes-winners on the pedigree page, suffice to say, it’s a very successful race winning family which gives our filly plenty of talent to draw from.

To be trained by John Price at Cranbourne, she’s also fully paid up for the Super VOBIS incentive scheme which means that she’ll be racing for all that extra bonus prizemoney on offer in Victoria. It’s only available to those horses included in the scheme and she’s in it!

Another of our occasional and very exclusive ‘Double Grand’ offerings, the shares in this filly are priced at $2,200 each which INCLUDES ALL COSTS UNTIL THE END OF 2016. It’s a great opportunity to get a young filly by an exciting stallion who’s already proven himself, and from a proven female family too, without breaking the bank to do it. Couple that with Grand Syndicates’ fixed no-stress fees at $6.60 a day to cover all ongoing costs, and it makes her an even more attractive way to get yourself in the winner’s circle!
